Airbag Vest
Idea Description
We have developed an airbag vest specifically designed to enhance the safety of aggregator riders in the region. We procured a model featuring brand sublimation and have reviewed the potential and necessity of this product.
There are approximately 40,000 to 50,000 riders in the UAE market. Daily accident statistics reveal 200 to 300 accidents due to reckless driving, as riders often rush to meet their order targets within specific working hours and are paid per order. We have approached several aggregators, such as Talabat and Cari, to discuss the critical importance of this safety product. However, the primary barrier has been the cost, which is around 500 DHS per vest, including brand sublimation. We are actively working to reduce this cost.
The significance of this product cannot be overstated. Implementing it could significantly reduce rider injuries and fatalities, aligning with existing safety measures such as driving license regulations, DOT standard helmets, and the recent introduction of rest areas for riders across Dubai. Given the value of human life and the impact on the riders' families, we believe this initiative is crucial.
