Idea Description

Atmaean is an application for building a better life that contributes to building an individual who is able to participate positively and effectively in the surrounding community. The application works to enhance the mental health of the individual and society in general by spreading culture and awareness of mental illness, its causes and ways to deal with it, and helping mental patients and their families to obtain treatment services and promote access to a better life.

The application allows registration in the provided service and communication with psychologists and counselors to obtain advice. The application user is also allowed to use it 24 hours a day.

The system contains a proposal that should provide flexibility for the user to receive appropriate information and solutions for him by entering the mental health page, choosing the aunt or the problem he suffers from, then reading the content such as the cause of the problem, its symptoms, and its solution. The user must also be identified and contacted with a specialist who will respond to him with a high level of security in order to preserve his privacy.

Challenges The Idea is Addressing

Lack of awareness and education: Many people in Oman may not be aware of the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, or may not know where to go for help. 3. Cultural and Religious Factors: Oman is a conservative society, and some people may feel that seeking help for mental health issues goes against cultural or religious norms. 4. Social isolation: Some people in Oman may feel socially isolated, especially if they are expatriates living far from their home country, which may contribute to feelings of depression or anxiety.
